Material sources & work process
My materials accompany me from near and far.
I source the clay from Vorarlberg, the felt from Tyrol.
For me, the two materials clay and felt hold a deep and calming truth. They set my thoughts in motion and allow them to take on a new form.
I am incredibly fortunate to be able to work in my studio in Bregenz, overlooking Lake Constance.
Soft music fills the room as my thoughts flow into my hands –
a silent meditation in which each piece is born.
I invest between six and twelve hours in each of my objects until form, feeling, and thought become one.
